What is Fitness Training?

By Ingrid Pich

Some people associate fitness training as being only relevant for athletes wishing to compete.

To be fit means to have complete health and wellness and the ability to function well during the course of any activity during the day.

It means being able to function at full capacity – being able to push inhaled oxygen through muscle tissue during physical exertion.

Everyone is different and one person’s fitness should not be compared to that of someone else.

We are born with genes which allow some to become superior athletes and others just to be healthy and have a strong cardiovascular system, great core stability and muscle tone.

Isn’t that what you want?

To achieve physical fitness can involve many activities and they do not necessarily require expensive equipment.

Some popular activities are running, boxing, skipping, using your body for resistance training or other means such as weights, resistance bands – the list is endless.

You may wish to train one-on-one or in a group environment. The latter is considered by most to be more fun and affordable.

It is putting a program together which pushes you to new levels, making it challenging, yet manageable and bringing you the results you desire.
